Sani Mubarak Ellis received his B.S degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana, and his M.S degree in Microwave and Photonics Engineering in Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg-Sweden in 2011. He pursued his Ph.D. degree at the University of Electronic Science and Technology, Chengdu, China in 2015. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. He's the head of the Antenna Group, and the RF & Microwave Section. His research includes Unidirectional Antennas, Circularly polarized antennas, Wearable antennas, Reconfigurable Antennas and Smart Antennas, and Wireless Communication.

The antenna group was officially established by Dr. Sani Mubarak Ellis in 2020. The group is part of the Department of Telecommunication Engineering, KNUST.
